A busy busy December!!

So this week has been crazy for us but I have had some interesting events with my daughter that I thought I would share.
We went to the naval museum on Tuesday and they have this great little play area that is clearly for children only. Well Emmy was sticking to the lower level for the most part until all the kids ran up the stairs and their she went. Well the only way to get down from the top is a a twisty enclosed slide or mom crawls in on her hands and knees. Well Emmy refused to go down the twisty slide so I enlisted Reese one of my friends older little girls to sit with her and come down the slide. So I am waiting at the bottom of the slide and down comes Reese with only Emmys dress. So now my child is at the top of the play ground yelling for HEP (help) naked. So you guessed it all 8.5 months pregnant of me loaded up the stairs and persuaded (pushed) her down the slide thinking if she did it once she would either A. do it again or B.not go up the stairs...WRONG! Up she went again and yelled at the top, HEP I need HEP (help). Again up I went and down we came and we walked on out the door.
Then this Thursday I was at my parents doing laundry (our dryer broke) and she got out their back door and was wondering around their yard yelling for her BOTS (my dad) before I realized she had opened the door. Fortunately it is fenced in but still the panic I felt running out that door is nothing like I have ever felt before. Of course when I got to her it took everything I had in me not to ring her little neck and through the tears I tried to scold her and she looked at me and said "no no mommy where Bots". Good gravy what am I going to do with this child. But I sure love her. We are so excited for Christmas and hope that you all have a wonderful holiday season. Merry Christmas

Ok I know it has been forever.

Life has just been crazy for us. Since the last time I blogged we have been to Virginia for a wedding, to Jacksonville to see family, to the Florida/FSU ball game, and celebrated Thanksgiving just to name a few things. More importantly in our life we have had three really bad knock you on your butt baby viruses. Which means very little sleep and a very irritable baby!! For Instance yesterday when I told her she couldn't have a "NAK" (which is Emmy language for snack) because it was to close to dinner she proceeded to sneak behind me and bite me on my rear end. The evidence was visible in a wet bite mark on my pants and snot all over my butt. Needless to say she and I had a come to Jesus meeting...well I did a lot of talking and she poked her lip out a lot but who knows where we got! Regardless we are doing a lot of growing. Emerson's vocabulary has grown by leaps and bounds over the last month and she is getting so tall. And I am getting bigger and bigger every time I wake up. Less than three months to go thats just crazy there will be another person in this house! We are hoping to stay well through the rest of the month and enjoy a very exciting Holiday season

Somebody stop time my child is almost a teenager!

oh boy oh boy what a day. So today I have asked God multiple times if this is her now what am I going to do when she is a teenager. Today started off with Emmy getting a hold of the jar of baby Vicks Vapor Rub while I was hanging up her clothes and proceeding to run a huge glop through her hair. I mean really I was right there but she is to fast for me. So needless to say it was a mess and her hair was a wreck but...nothing a few wipes couldn't take care of and some really crazy pigtails! That was today here is my prediction for the future...she will come home one day with purple hair and one side shaved and expect me to fix it!

This is what Vicks Vapor Rub does to ones hair. Perhaps this is Robert Pattinson's secret!!

So we went and got lunch with our daddy and came home for what I prayed was a really great nap. Well we had the great nap but I was snapped out of my laundry folding by a really large crash in the monitor and a sweet voice saying uh oh uh oh mommy uh oh. Needless to say she had reached outside the crib somehow gotten a hold of the lamp and sent it crashing to the floor. Such a mess but nothing a vacuum couldn't fix. That was today here is my prediction for the future...After getting her first car and trying to make it home by curfew she runs into the neighbors mailbox ruining both it and the car.

So I fixed her a bowl of cereal per her request which she proceeded to dump out on the floor right in front of me. I held it together despite the need to stomp my feet and scream but really what is with this day. That was today my prediction for the future...After telling her no to going to the party with all her friends she proceeds to throw her purse on the ground and tell me I am ruining her life. Daddy needs to get home and quick. I have a teenager in the making!!!

But those piggies are sure cute!!

What an October!

Emmy loves being a FSU fan and went to her first high school homecoming to cheer on Cousin Maddie who got to be on the homecoming court!

We have been so busy this month. Emmy keeps me going non stop and I try to keep her on the move more for me than her. The trick is wear her out and then when she sleeps I run
around the house like crazy getting chores done and pray that I have a few minutes to watch some tv and prop my feet up. I mean what am I going to do when there are two of them and they gang up on me!!
The above family photo and the one to the side are at Greek Fest here in Pensacola, Emmy loved it!

5 years, 1 1/2 children and a dog later!!

So the last 5 years have been the best of my life. I married the man of my dreams and have 1 1/2 kids and a dog. Thats the American Dream right? It was always mine! I may have had some rocky moments getting here but its what I always prayed I would get to have. I love waking up in the morning to the snores of my husband and dog and hearing that sweet voice saying Mommy mommy. I look forward to all that God has in store for me for sure. Thank you Tommy for 5 amazing years (well actually 7 if you count the years I had to reel you in)! I look forward to many more.

September Days

OK so I promised I would do this once a week and here it is the end of the week and last minute I am getting to it but...I did it!! It has been a slow week here at the DeLaMare house which has been a really nice change. I dont really have any new pictures to share but I will show you all what I have been working on some this week. As many of you know I am a scrapbook fanatic and I have been trying to teach some classes and see if I can make a little money at it. SO here is one of my latest layouts. Of course you know the subject matter
